Do you like pizza? Well, most people certainly do in the United States where it’s a large-scale business worth $37 billion. The second largest pizza producer in the US, Domino’s Pizza, has been producing this spherical Italian delicacy for more than half of a decade since 1960 and one of their most popular deals had been any large 3-topping pizza for $7.99. Now, Domino’s has decided it was time to change this deal for the better and even apologize for doing so.
Until just last week, customers who walked-in to a Domino’s chain store could get a large 3-topping pizza throughout Monday to Thursday in a carryout deal for just $7.99. Whereas, if you carried out the same pizza over the weekend, you would have to pay more and according to the company that’s not right. So, the “pie” producer decided to issue an apology to everyone who has ever purchased the pizza in such a deal and moreover to offer America a “Pizza Payback”.
Whether the customers are going to like the extended deal or not, both sides can sign up for one of the prizes offered as a form of payback. This way, Domino’s Pizza is giving away prizes in a form of a fun little promotional campaign, and suggests that customers deserve them “for being cheated”. Let us know in the comments whether you would ask for a free pizza for a year (*which could be won as five $100 gift cards), a neon sign, a ridiculously giant night light, or just for one of the more sensible options – a free large 3-topping pizza.
