Both Samsung and Christoph Waltz have been busy in bringing us various campaigns. The Oscar-winning actor starred in a series of short films designed for the Clash of Clans online game, alongside with James Corden and the adorable Lava Pup. The South Korean conglomerate released a series of videos promoting world without barriers for the up-and-running Summer Olympics in Rio and introduced its new flagship mobile phone S7 with celebrity-filled advert telling us Why? to buy it. The Austrian-German actor and the South Korean firm have joined forces and produced their take on the way how they perceive well-known American nation of workaholics.
The video promoting the new Note 7, a phone that lets you do more, show Waltz in various roles trying to grasp North America’s nationwide obsession with being busy, busy, busy like a bee. At first Waltz doesn’t understand why “are [Americans] only happy winning everything” and mocks their hectic lifestyle, but after he walks in shoes of multiple characters like an employee of the month, a successful athlete, George Washington, or Abraham Lincoln, he gets overcome with patriotism for The Stars and Stripes when he sees the flag riding as Neil Armstrong on moon’s surface.
Samsung has introduced their multi-tasking phone with a clever tag-line “You don’t need a big smartphone. You need a smartphone that thinks big” and with Waltz starring as characters portraying American heroes, they do exactly that. Tell us in the comments, if you would enjoy such lifestyle or are in just for the sake of buying Note 7 that brings “more everything”.
