What’s better than hearing “I love you?” Most people would say nothing else. But if you ask a motorbike lover, he’d probably give you a rather awkward yet straight answer: “The krrrr sound of diesel. That beautiful noise the bike makes when its engine starts purring.” For motorcycle lovers, there’s nothing more relaxing than a ride on their bike while listening to the sound of the engine as it gives birth to the heavenly noise.
Harley-Davidson Australia thinks that every moto enthusiast should be able to achieve such Nirvana state without even touching the throttle. No, it’s not by getting your motorcycle under your skin using a special ink that Indian Motorcycle created a year ago. Rather, the brand has other creative ideas in mind…
Are you curious how Harley-Davidson can help bikers achieve the highest level of happiness? Well, just in time for World Relaxation Day, the iconic company dressed itself in an audio robe that tickles all bikers’ senses, especially the one of hearing.
Thanks to a collaboration between the company, 303 MullenLowe Sydney agency, and Sonar Music studio, Harley-Davidson brought to life a two-minute track that is designed to give riders a wonderful way to relax and forget about their daily worries. No stress. Just the beautiful sounds of a revving engine.
To create the unusual song, the team used ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response) recording techniques, which bear a special gene in their DNA that helps listeners relax and de-stress. Made in the key of binaural, the track allows you to experience a Harley-Davidson ride as if it were all real. The audio trail leaves you in the riding seat of a 2018 Softail Street Bob with the rumble of the powerful Milwaukee-Eight engine, whilst the audio adventure invites you to completely immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind meditation session.
Speaking about the campaign, David Roberts, Creative Director at the Sydney-based agency, said in a press release: “The boom in mindfulness apps shows the need people have to escape their daily stress. And for a passionate tribe out there, this is the sound of freedom and relaxation.” The statement is complemented by Keith Waddell, Marketing Director at Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand, who believes that this experience can prove to be something quite huge for Harley riders if they are unable to get out on their bike.
Now hit play, close your eyes, and let yourself be carried away by this awesome Harley-Davidson experience. Even if you aren’t a big fan of motorcycles, we promise that you would not be disappointed. Just give it a try! We also did and succeeded to transcend in an idyllic state of mind.
