What the world needs is a boost in happiness. People are struggling to enhance their well-being, especially when they want to reach a Nirvana-like state of mind. Sure, world peace would make us all happy but because we are a long way from reaching it (sadly), we need to find other ways of entertaining ourselves and achieve the best level of contentment. Children, pets, music, they all work with each other to help us increase our joyfulness. But something’s missing. Do you know what we are talking about?

Yes, flowers. These colorful plants bring so much joy upon receiving, but they also represent a good way to lift your mood. According to experts, nature and flowers have the power to improve people’s emotional health. Flowers in bloom can trigger emotions, elevate feelings of life satisfaction, and affect social behavior in a positive manner. Moreover, they can reduce anxiety and stress, they help with insomnia and depression, and can reflect that feeling of peace.

The Flower Council of Holland works with flowers every day and is well aware of the benefits fresh plants have upon people’s spirit and their life. But humans are so busy these days that they don’t pay enough attention to such small details. Not to worry though, because the flower house joined hands with Amsterdam-based creative agency 180 Kingsday to remind people why they need more flowers around them.

In an effort to show that flowers are indeed what people need to be happier and more creative, the two partners launched the awe-inspiring “We Need More Flowers” campaign. The project comes as a wonderful ode to flowers and celebrates the magical and wonderful effect these plants have on people’s whereabouts. Plus, it goes beyond the surface of flowers’ beauty by emphasizing how their magic can positively influence life.

“Flowers matter. They let us express and feel all the feels that define us as humans. They let us mourn and celebrate, console and court, say “sorry” and “I love you”. And in a world optimizing towards the anti-septic vanilla, feelings matter, and we wanted the work to stay true to and celebrate, just that,” said Kalle Hellzen, Executive Creative Director of 180 Kingsday, in a press release.

Now, if you don’t have time to stop by a flower shop, the Flower Council of Holland is ready to bring some virtual blossoms right to your doorsteps. You know, just to make you feel more relaxed than ever. And maybe to inspire you to be more creative. So how can you enjoy the magic of flowers without having a single flower in the house? Simple. Just install the publisher’s colorful ad-blocker called “The Green Screen” and watch as your traditional ads morph into a series of floral-themed banners.

Let these natural treats find their place either in your house or your screen. We promise you that you’ll be bursting with happiness and creativity as you see them blossoming before your eyes.
