As the most viewed trailer in YouTube’s history, Battelfield 1 trailer, has not only generated over 40 million views (as of June 16th), but according to experts it’s actually true to the technology of the era – including equipment and weapons, uniforms, vehicles and, lastly, tactics.
Battlefield 1 trailer got a million likes in the four days since its release and has now surpassed not only any video-game teaser, but also any cinematic trailer up to date in total views. Moreover, it currently sits on the 133rd place in the top 250 Most Liked Videos on YouTube of all time making it, the most liked trailer, across films, TV or video games.
The YouTube video series The Great War has painted an elaborate shot-by-shot breakdown of the trailer to see how closely it sticks to historical facts.
